I had been pondering and researching having surgery for some time. After deciding on remaining in the UK for Gastric sleeve surgery I enquired with tonic. Jade contacted me and from the first contact was amazing, quick and timely responses nothing was too much trouble, I then had an initial call Mr Awad who was knowledgeable, precise and straight to the point but caring with it. I had all this information and knew I would be in great hands so booked the surgery for 5 weeks time at Burcott Hall. Pre op was fantastic and concise with thorough testing that took place, I had telephone calls with the dietician and psychotherapist too all absolutely fantastic. Surgery day- from seeing Mr Awad, anesthetist to be taken to my private room was all relaxed and I felt great. The staff on the ward- the nursing staff were like angels, the care and compassion they gave to me to ease my anxieties and then post surgery to make me as comfortable as possible was second to none. I'll never forget the way they made me feel Post surgery- the aftercare team checked in regularly, Debbie my allocated nurse was on hand daily with calls and I was able to contact her when I needed. I'm now 11 weeks post surgery, I've had regular contact with the aftercare team who have even amazing. Harry the PT who has helped with getting me physically active, being part of the online forum is also a great benefit but my heart belongs to Mr Awad and his team who performed the op and gave me my life back. 3 stone 2lb lost forever, more energy and zest for life. My only regret is that I didn't do it years ago I'll be eternally grateful and have 3 friends that have booked or had surgery since on my recommendation and are equally happy.

I am 1 week post op. I’m very pleased with the support from Tonic from my very first telephone call through to the contact with the team of nurses, dietician, psychotherapist, and exercise coach. I’m very early on in my journey however I couldn’t fault the care and treatment I have had so far.

The team at Tonic have been nothing but amazing. So much information, regular appointments. Super responsive to emails and queries. You could not ask for a better service and care. I will definitely be using them again in the future and already am recommending them to friends and on social media.

I cannot praise Mr Awad or Tonic enough! I am currently 10 days PO and feel amazing. The surgery went ahead without any complications and the team were so welcoming and friendly, I was put at ease from the minute I walked through the door to when I was discharged. I originally spoke to Lydia to enquire and book my surgery and she was so friendly and informative and was always happy to answer any questions I had. I know private is different but cannot explain the organisation and care of everyone at Burcott hall and Tonic. There was no waiting around and they were prepared for every stage. Mr Awad was extremely informative both before with what to expect and after on how the operation went. I had researched having a gastric sleeve for over a year and spoke to 4 different surgeons before making my choice to go with Tonic. I waited particularly to have Mr Awad as my surgeon after reading all the reviews and speaking to him on the phone. So far my experience with Tonic has been 10/10 and cannot fault any part of my journey so far. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped change my life!
